# Beta

> What Mynth's beta means for the API, Magic Prompt, testing credits, and running Mynth in production.

Mynth is in beta. The early alpha period is over: the core platform has
settled, and Mynth is ready for real use beyond demos and experiments.

## The base API is stable

Models, image size, Magic Prompt, webhooks, and the rest of the base API are
stable. They will not change in a breaking way without a migration period and
advance notice.

Mynth is suitable for non-critical production, or for production behind a
fallback.

> Where image generation is on a critical path, design for graceful degradation.

## Magic Prompt is still in beta

[Magic Prompt](https://mynth.io/docs/guides/enhance-prompts.md) stays in beta while it keeps
changing. Unlike the base API, its output may still change. It is free during
the beta, so you can test it without worrying about cost.

## Testing credits

Automatic signup credits are paused because bots and other automated signups
kept abusing them. Developers evaluating Mynth can still get up to $10 in
testing credits, based on what they need.

## Top-ups and production

Top-ups are enabled in the [wallet](https://mynth.io/dashboard/wallet). For now, think of them
mainly as a way to support Mynth while it grows.

Running Mynth in production at higher load is welcome. We are happy to help
anyone who uses Mynth seriously: solving issues, tuning for a workload, and
