# Get task

> One task in full: what was asked for, what came back, what it cost. Owner-only, so it takes an API key or an OAuth token rather than a public access token.

The whole task: the request as accepted, the result, the cost, and any errors.
It takes an API key, not a public access token, and it reads the database, so
use it for failed tasks, audits, and dashboards rather than in a polling loop.
